‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to close the week out with a couple of storylines moving forward and the spoilery goodies to prove it.
Of course, the show prefers to limp along and spend more time finding the perfect moment in a conversation about coffee or other thing, but it works for them.
‘The Young and the Restless Spoilers Friday, April 7: A deal he can’t refuse
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is back on his mountaintop as high ruler, and he’s going to use his power and influence to make sure his family gets the help they need.
In this case, he’s going to make a deal with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) about making sure Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) get the help she needs.
This could mean anything, but CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers suspect it’ll involve Victor ensuring that either Nate or Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) perform the transplant.
To make this extra interesting, we think Victor will want Nate to do it, and Nate will inform him he can’t and tags Elena.
We don’t blame Victor for doing what he can to help his family, but we’re curious how often he’ll be allowed to push his way onto others before he’s finally ousted.
‘The Young and the Restless Spoilers Friday, April 7: Chelsea’s doom is at hand
Okay, so the real spoiler if she’s going to implement the next step of her plan. We’ve watched enough of these to know this will probably be the one thing she shouldn’t do and it’ll cost her.
It’s the typical “jump the shark” type of moment where the bad guy thinks they’re in the clear and want to go one more step to assure victory. And that’s when they mess up and are caught.
Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) has a lot of reasons why she’s doing this, and it will blow up in her face and everyone’s going to have to deal with Victor thumping his chest and grandstanding.
As if that’s not bad enough, she’ll probably run to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) for help when it gets to this point in a week or three, and he won’t need the added problems she’ll bring.
But it’s how things go, and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will be cleared of the charges and Chelsea will be cut loose in a month or two for one reason or another.
On the plus side, it’ll probably start a storyline with her in a mental institution. Oh, didn’t we just see that with Adam late last year?
Hopefully, they’ll put a twist or two on it when it does happen. Like maybe Chelsea doesn’t get caught?
