‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to close the week out with some spoilery goodies.
It looks like we may be getting a couple of interesting storylines coming up, even if they’re familiar ones.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, May 21: War preparations
After a lot of threats and bantering, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is finally ready to set his new war machine into motion to destroy Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Chance Comm.
This time, Victor’s gearing up his new propaganda machine to go after a man that’s committed numerous crimes against his family, but mainly Billy refused to kiss Victor’s ring.
While this had the potential to be an interesting storyline, it’s something we see every day on television and the internet. In short, we’re going to potentially lose some of our escapism.
Sure, Victor’s been built up as a tyrant and every tyrant needs their propaganda machine to wage war, but this could strike a little too close for many.
Of course, there’s always the chance that Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) will step in and cause headaches and maybe even hinder Victor’s attempt since this isn’t what he wanted his media company used for.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, May 21: Kyle’s proposal
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers have hammered on Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) making some really questionable decisions, and we expect this to be another one to add to the pile.
Since he already decided to acknowledge Harrison as his son to protect him from Ashland, we think he’s going to do the “gallant” thing and decide to marry Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner).
This means Summer Newman (Hunter King) will be cast aside once again, but it’ll be for the greater cause since Kyle will view Tara as being in far more danger and needing him more.
This is purely speculation on our part, but it feels like the type of boneheaded thing Kyle would do, and why not?
It’s not like he and Summer haven’t alternated ditching each other previously, so this will just add to their growing legacy.
It’ll also create more tension in Kyle’s life and everyone can tell him they’re proud of him for being such a stand up guy and all.
