UFC Heavyweight, Derrick “The Black Beast” Lewis, crashed the UFC 262 press conference, talking trash about just everybody in and out of the UFC. He seems the most likely contender for a title fight with Francis Ngannou, particularly considering that Dana White’s cold war against Jon “Bones” Jones shows no signs of abating. In a press conference that careened as wildly from one topic to the next as Jon Jones’ car, the “black beast” poked fun at everyone from Dana White to Elon Musk.
On the subject of a potential Ngannou fight, Derrick Lewis said the champion is “really trying to ignore” him, and that any fight between the two behemoths is “not really official yet”. He claims that he is “not greedy” and would be happy to take the “minimum 8 million” available for the fight.

Lewis went on to claim that he was “real obese right now”, weighing in at 285 pounds despite supposedly abstaining from his favourite food – Popeye’s chicken. Derrick Lewis would likely have to lose weight to fight Francis Ngannou, who holds the world record for hardest punches.
Derrick Lewis’ interviews are as unpredictable as the fighter himself. Careening away from a title shot, he requested that in a movie about him, Dana White could be played by Caitlyn Jenner, and Francis Ngannou by Lisa Leslia. John Travolta could play Derrick Lewis due to the Saturday Night Fever star going bald.
In fact, Lewis decided that he dislikes “all guys that got hair” – including Francis Ngannou, who also gets on Lewis’ nerves because “he makes me look fat when I stand next to him”. “F** Francis”, said the contender.
“F*** Elon Musk”, too, apparently. Extending his ire to Musk’s manipulation of cryptocurrency and the stock market, Lewis would prefer that the South African billionaire “just worry about Tesla, leave everything else alone, keep your mouth shut”.
As far as Lewis is concerned, clearly just about everybody, whether they’re in the UFC or not, is in the firing line. Everybody, that is, except his teammate Lauren Murphy, who Derrick believes deserves a shot at the Women’s Flyweight title. At least the big man has some room in his heart for his teammates.
