UFC 262 was an amazing event that lived up to its hype, with the two thrilling fights that went down in the Octagon; Tony Ferguson taking on Beneil Dariush and suffering a loss, while, Michael Chandler fought with Charles Oliveira for the UFC lightweight division title.

An interesting aspect of the fight beyond the Octagon was the financial benefit gained by each of the main eventers. With all four of them taking lump sums home as rewards for their bouts.

Cash rain: Here is how much the UFC 262 main eventers earned from their fights

UFC 262 brought with it a cash rain, with over 4 million dollars splashed out to the participants of the event. Charles Oliveira was definitely the biggest winner of the night in all ramifications; winning the UFC lightweight title as well as pocketing a massive $875,000 from the night.

Beneil Dariush on the other hand, despite being victorious in his fight earned the least among the main eventers, taking home an amount of $321,000.

According to Sportekz, the breakdown of Charles Oliveira’s cash winnings included; a $400,000 guaranteed purse, a $100,000 winning bonus, a $32,000 sponsorship bonus and a performance bonus of $75,000. Taking his grand total to $875,000 including PPV bonus.

Michael Chandler came in as the close second in terms of financial gains from UFC 262, despite losing his fight, he took home almost the same amount as the champion, as he pocketed a guaranteed purse of $500,000 and a sponsorship bonus of $42,000. His PPV bonus took his total for the night up to a humongous $842,000, as per sportekz.

Tony Ferguson despite losing in his matchup was definitely a massive winner in the monetary aspect, taking home $750,000 from his fight. A $500,000 guaranteed purse coupled with $32,000 in sponsorship bonus and also his PPV bonus, took his total for the night to $750,000.

Beneil Dariush who won his matchup, won $321,000 as well; a $200,000 guaranteed purse, a $100,000 winning bonus and a $21,000 sponsorship bonus.

Other fighters at UFC 262 that took home significant amounts include; Edson Barboza who won his fight against Shane Burgos and pocketed $346,100, Katlyn Chookagain who won $221,000, Shane Burgos who lost, but went home with $166,000. From the preliminary card fights, we have; Lando Vannata who won and took $131,000 home and Ronaldo Souza who earned $86,000 from his fight.

Christos Giagos’ earning stood out among the fighters who fought in the early preliminary fights, pocketing a whopping $131,500 from a fight he won.
