WWE Smackdown Results weren’t surprised to see the Usos stayed at ringside as the match got underway and Rollins ran in and beat Cesaro down as soon as the bell rang.
He then ran back in and stomped Cesaro down and hit a sling blade for a pin attempt.
Rollins headed to the top rope and hit a knee for another pin attempt.
Rollins then threw Cesaro to the floor and headed out after him and slammed him in the ring apron and barricade and back and forth before throwing Cesaro into the ring for a near pinfall.
Cesaro fought back and caught Rollins off the ropes for a press slam but he dropped Rollins instead, and Rollins landed on his feet and kicked Cesaro’s knee out and slammed him face first into the mat for a pin attempt.
Rollins locked in a front face lock, and then went for a suplex or Falcon’s arrow and Cesaro blocked both attempts.
Cesaro powered him up for a suplex in an incredible display of strength.
Cesaro hit a series of uppercuts and whipped Rollins into a corner to hit another uppercut. He then threw Rollins across the ring to hit another uppercut and then a clothesline for a near pinfall.
Cesaro went for a rollup and then a sunset flip but Rollins kicked out.
Cesaro went for the Neutralizer and Rollins dumped him onto the apron, but Cesaro landed on his feet and hit a right. He then headed to the top rope.
Jey Uso distracted Cesaro and Rollins ran up and hit a superplex and rolled into a Falcon’s Arrow for a near pinfall as we headed to commercial.
Cesaro gets unexpected help
Back from commercial, Cesaro tried to lock in a sharpshooter, and they exchanged pin attempts instead.
Cesaro powered into a sharpshooter but Rollins nearly made it to the ropes but Cesaro attempted a crossface.
Rollins reversed it and hit Cesaro in the back, and then a step over kick for a pin attempt.
Rollins went for a Stomp, but Cesaro caught him and dropped him on the top turnbuckle. Rollins slipped free and hit a buckle bomb and Cesaro came out of the corner with a clothesline to buy some time.
They exchanged rights before Cesaro nailed a series of uppercuts and Rollins then flipped him over the top rope to the floor.
Jimmy distracted the ref and Rollins told Jey he’s not Reigns and to stay out of his business.
He rolled Cesaro into the ring and Jey grabbed him. Rollins shoved him back. Rollins went to get into the ring but dropped to the floor when Cesaro went for the ropes but was stopped by the official.
Jimmy then nailed Rollins with a superkick.
Cesaro hit Jimmy with a crossbody off over the top rope, and Cesaro threw Rollins into the ring and hit the Neutralizer for the win and his title shot.
Rollins’ warning
Backstage, Rollins said he didn’t want to come back to Reigns and talk to him like this, but Jimmy cost him the match and asked if Reigns is pissed with him or Jimmy.
Reigns said Jimmy screwed him over btu him losing affect him and he’ll handle that and any problems with his family.
Rollins said that’s fine but he’ll handle it if Reigns can’t.
Smackdown throwback
