We’ve heard this before, but according to PWInsider and Fightful.com have both reported that Becky Lynch was in the WWE Performance Center working out.
They also say she looks like she never left as she worked out in the ring, and this has us thinking we could see her at SummerSlam.
With plenty of rumors flying about whether or not Brock Lesnar is returning going hand in hand with Stephanie McMahon’s promise that there will be plenty of surprises at SummerSlam.
There have also been reports the WWE is trying to make SummerSlam as big or bigger than WrestleMania to fully welcome fans back.
Anticipation is high
The WWE has effectively gutted their women’s division, so having Becky Lynch return will give it some balance and give it a boost.
We’re expecting her to go to Smackdown since Seth Rollins is on the blue brand and the WWE likes to keep couples together, and this could ignite feuds with Bayley, Sasha Banks, and Bianca Belair.
Since she was reportedly backstage at Smackdown, this gives some credence to that belief.
Honestly, we can’t wait to see The Man back in action.
We still think the women’s division will be better if it appeared on both brands while having their own, and her return could help boost the division to the point it becomes a reality.
Brock’s not back yet
As we mentioned above, there are plenty of rumors, hopes, and dreams that Brock Lesnar will return to the WWE for SummerSlam, but according to Dave Meltzer the chances of that happening are slim.
As reported by @leakedwrestling, Meltzer said:
“While there are a lot of rumors regarding the return of Lesnar, as of 6/15 there was no deal for him to return imminently. Of course, it always could happen especially with the Saudi show late in the year and next year’s Mania. SummerSlam would also make sense but right now that’s still not anything agreed to nor expected at this point.”
As Meltzer said, it’s possible something can be worked out as the WWE is intent on making SummerSlam enormous and Lesnar’s return would definitely help with that.
We think if Lesnar comes back for SummerSlam, it’ll be to give fans their dream match of him and Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship.
This would spoil the outcome of Lashley and Drew McIntyre’s HIAC match, so it makes sense nothing has been leaked or announced.
