Booker T is one of those individuals that gives an honest, well thought out opinion on a topic, and this is no different and he praised Roman Reigns on being do dominant.
Since turning heel and becoming the Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns became the star the WWE thought he could be when they spent years shoving him down our throats as a face.
Reigns really came into his own when he turned heel and it’s become a clinic on how to be one of the best in the business.
He’s put on some tremendous matches and has helped make everyone around him look better as he and his opponents have put together some great in ring stories.
Booker T recently threw his two cents in about Reigns and his title run, and then addressed the elephant in the room about a lack of competitors.
On his Hall of Fame Podcast, Booker talking about the constant need for Legends to come back to challenge Reigns after he tore through the Smackdown roster during his title reign.

“Right now, Roman’s been dominant man, he’s been a dominant champion. And I like that, I like everything about the way Roman has been going out and performing, putting himself in a position where it might happen and Roman saying nah and snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Roman is dominant right now and I like everything he’s been doing, he’s giving the people some good storytelling and that’s what I like about the business more than anything.
“Having someone like Edge, he’s from the old school, he’s a storyteller, we’ll see how this thing plays out. It’s Edge’s last hurrah and there’s no better time than to do it right now when the crowd is just getting back into buildings. If I could be frank, honestly there’s not a whole lot of contenders out there right now.”
He later added, “There aren’t a whole lot of contenders out there. I look at this like a boxing match, a boxing division. Who’s in the division? Who do I got to, you know, look at and say, ‘Man, that’s my next guy right there.’ Back in the day, Hogan had Orndorff, The Barbarian, Bundy, Andre the Giant, Big John Studd – he had a bunch of contenders, a bunch of stars. That’s what I say right there. Where are the contenders? And if there are some, who are they?”
This goes to the WWE’s failure at creating stars the last few years aside from a couple here and there. At some point, they’re going to need someone to take the title off of him.
The problem with this is Reigns has said he doesn’t seen anyone that he’s ready to pass the torch to, including the top babyface of the last year, Drew McIntyre.
Could this change? Of course. We’re excited to see who the WWE can build up to take over for Reigns. Who do you think it’ll be, or will they bring in another star?
