‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to close the week out with some fun spoilery goodies and possible plot twists.
Of course, everything in Genoa City is a plot twist on some level, and that’s where things get interesting. Some twists are beyond obvious, while others are subtle for character building.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Thursday, July 22: Victoria’s discovery
This is one of those teasers that makes ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers chomp at the bit at the possibilities.
For one, we mentioned previously that we think there’s a possibility that Ashland Locke (Richard Burghi) is faking his illness to get the merger completed and take over Newman Enterprises.
It’d make sense after Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) made him complete their deal to get help for a heart attack.
But it feels too soon for that. So, we’re thinking it’s far more subdued like Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) discovers he likes to paint, draw, or some other hobby that helps to calm him.
None of that would be suspected given his intense nature, so it would indeed be a shocking discovery for Victoria to make.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Thursday, July 22: Elena stand her ground
Once again, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will have to defend her being with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) as Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) attempts to move in and claim him once again.
Or to innocently flirt, like Imani likes to put it.
Still, we have a feeling things are going to head to a bumpy conclusion at some point, and a lot of it will be Nate’s fault for constantly allowing Imani to flirt.
We have even less sympathy or patience for Nate since he knows about Elena’s insecurities, and we’re curious how that’ll play out in the coming months.
“The Young and the Restless” Spoilers: Billy questions Sharon’s loyalty
Here’s where we get another interesting twist as Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will step in and pressure Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) about her commitment to Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
We assume this is potentially a preemptive move on Billy’s part to gather intelligence on what kind of attack Adam’s planning, and he may even feed Sharon something to entice Adam into revealing his plans.
To be honest, this doesn’t make much sense to us, but characters in Genoa City switch their attentions a lot for storylines that tend to drag on more often than not.
This could just be a tool by the writers to try and put Sharon’s marriage in jeopardy again, but we’ll have to wait and see.
