WWE Raw Preview has been waiting for this moment for over a year, and it’s going to be awesome to have fans back at a WWE show and the Go Home episode for Money in the Bank.
And the WWE has lined up the card with some cool matches with a premiere, a United States title shot, and a rematch to set up Money in the Bank pay-per-view.
Let’s get to the breakdown and see what we have.
WWE United States Championship – Sheamus (c) vs. Humberto Carrillo
After an accident that broke Sheamus’ nose a few weeks ago, Carrillo is finally going to get an official shot at Sheamus’ United States Championship now that Sheamus has been cleared to wrestle.
This should be a fun hard hitting match as both will give it their all. But of course, there’s probably going to be a quirk that’ll made this interesting.
Since winning the United States Championship, Sheamus has been acting like a leprechaun protecting his gold, and we expect this to be hammed up a little more as he’ll find a way to hold onto his title.
Falls Count Anywhere Match – John Morrison vs. Ricochet
These two have given us awesome matches the last two weeks, highlighted by Ricochet’s sling shot leap that resulted in a double count out.
The next chapter of this rivalry has the potential to be the best one yet as the entire playbook is open for two of the most athletic Superstars in wrestling to use.
We expect WWE’s notorious 50/50 booking to strike and for Ricochet to pull this out to even the series despite the Miz trying his best to interfere.
Fatal 4 Way – Alexa Bliss vs. Asuka vs. Naomi vs. Nikki A.S.H.
With Money in the Bank pay-per-view this weekend, we’re getting a preview of half of the women’s match in a Fatal 4 Way that’s sure to be as interesting and strange.
We say strange because Alexa could switch it on and really morph it into something twisted and fun, but we don’t expect that to happen.
We do expect Shayna Baszler to come out and go after her at some point, but until then this should be a fun one.
We think Nikki will notch another win unless she helps Alexa with Baszler, in which case we’re going with Naomi for the win.
AJ Styles vs. Ivar
A week before AJ Styles and Omos defend their Raw Tag Team Championship, the teams are going to split up for a pair of singles matches to help build momentum for next week.
In this one, Styles will face Ivar, and we assume their partners will be in their respective corners until the ref boots them from ringside.
We want to say Styles will win, but Ivar’s due so we’re going with him.
Erik vs. Omos
Omos will make his singles debut in the WWE, and that should mean he’ll win this match but that could be jumping the gun.
This has the potential to be a brutally fun match, but we expect Erik to pull out the win possibly with some help from Ivar.
The win will be by Count Out of Disqualification to keep Omos looking unbeatable but building some tension going into next week.
Bobby Lashley vs. Xavier Woods
This one is a little confusing as Kofi Kingston will be challenging Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship at MITB, but Xavier Woods gets his rematch.
This is after the New Day defeated Lashley and MVP last week in a tag match.
It makes sense that Woods would want a rematch out of pride and to wear down Lashley for Kingston’s match, but it’s also a heel type of move but that’s par for the course lately.
Lashley should win this one, but we have a feeling he’ll do so after absorbing a ton of punishment.
This should be a great match if the outside interference is limited, and WWE Raw Preview can’t wait to see what happens.
