‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to keep the fun times rolling with some spoilery goodies.
It looks like things are going to start heating up in Genoa City, and this will be the start of the slow burn.
And it’s all due to some duplicitous acts because of simple things like revenge and protecting those we love.

It can often be argued what or who exactly Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is helping when he starts digging into anything, but especially someone’s past.

In this case, he’s doing it to make sure Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) isn’t marrying a con man, but mainly to protect his company.
Let’s be honest, Victor love Victoria, but he’s going to really push if something from Ashland Locke (Richard Burghi) past turns up and it’ll be because of the merger with Newman Enterprises.
Victoria’s benefit will be an added bonus.
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), on the other hand, won’t like that he’s digging into Ashland’s past as it shows he doesn’t trust Victoria or her decision making.
This will lead to a friendly disagreement of opinion that’ll last until Victor finds something that shows he was right to worry, and let’s face it, he’s always going to be right.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Tuesday, August 24: Sally’s up to her old tricks
Not one to take rational advice about working to prove herself without relying on underhanded ways, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will spend a good portion of her time doing some scouting.
Okay, so it’s spying on Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) to find something she can use against Phyllis.
Learning how Jack really feels when his guard is down will be a pleasant added bonus, as it’ll give her something to potentially use to woo him back once she’s done with Phyllis.
This should be an interesting segment simply because ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers don’t see Phyllis allowing herself to be spied on.
We’re willing to bet she’ll spot Sally and she’ll begin playing her own game of false information to prove how duplicitous Sally is.
On the flip side, if Sally decides to stick with winning jack over again, things could work out in her favor. But then that would go against her nature.
Will Sally’s spying work or will Phyllis be too smart for her?
