Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Live Results!
I’m your host, CP Bialois, and we’re set for what promises to be a fun episode now that Brock Lesnar and Beck Lynch are back.
Let’s grab some snacks and get ready to settle in. We’ll be back to get WWE Smackdown Live Results rolling at the 8 p.m. EST start time.
Segment 1
Becky Lynch opened the show and used Seth Rollins’ heel speech from when he moved to Smackdown.
Bianca Belair asked for a rematch and was refused. Zelina Vega, Liv Morgan, and Carmella staked their claim so we could be heading for a tag match or fatal four way.
Segment 2
Fatal Four Way Number One Contenders Elimination Match – Bianca Belair vs. Liv Morgan vs. Zelina Vega vs. Carmella
Belair eliminated Vega with a KOD, then Belair headed to the floor where Carmella threw her into the barricade and went after Morgan, but Morgan rolled her up for the pin and faced Belair as we headed to commercial.
Segment 3
In a great back and forth, Belair eventually beat Morgan with a KOD for the pin.
Segment 4
Heyman was locked out of Roman Reigns’ locker room, and the Usos questioned him about if he knew Lesnar would be at SummerSlam and they didn’t believe his arguments, so they left him in the hallway.
Segment 5
Chad Gable w/Otis vs. Cesaro
This was a good match until Cesaro went for the Swing and Otis attacked, giving Cesaro the DQ win. Otis beat Cesaro down and hit a splash off the middle rope.
Segment 6
Happy Corbin arrived and shared a video of how he took $35 and went to Vegas and is now filthy rich and happy.
He tried to buy Big E’s MITB contract for $100k but Big E refused, and Corbin left the ring smiling.
Segment 7
King Nakamura and Rick Boogs vs. Dirty Dawgs (Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode)
Boogs started it off well, and Nakamura came in but Ziggler hit a Zigzag on the floor as we headed to commercial.
Segment 8
A really good match ended when Boogs hit a pump handle slam on Ziggler for the win.
Segment 9
Dominik Mysterio vs. Sami Zayn
This started off with a good back and forth before Zayn pulled the roped down and Dominik went to the floor when he tried a 619 as we headed to commercial.
Segment 10
This was a good match that Zayn won with a Helluva Kick, and Dominik then refused help from Rey.
Segment 11
The Bloodline’s celebration was cut short when Finn Balor came out to challenge Reigns for the Universal title next week, and the Street Profits backed him up and fended off the Usos.
Balor hit a double stomp on Jimmy Uso while Reigns watched from the ramp.
Overall, this was a decent show once we got passed the opening segment. What did you think of it? Let us know in the comments below and thank you for joining WWE Smackdown Live Results.
We had a great time and can’t wait for next week.
See you all then!
