AEW’s pay-per-view All Out was as big a hit as there’s been in professional wrestling this year as there weren’t just some awesome matches but a couple of surprises we’re all still talking about.
While there were plenty of reports and rumors that Bryan Danielson signing with AEW, but seeing him actually appear as was rumored was beyond awesome.
Then to have Adam Cole walk out without any buildup was a slam dunk few if anyone saw coming so soon.
While both were two of the top performers in the WWE, the sky’s the limit for them in AEW.
But it’s what they said after the show that speaks to the type of people they are and why this was so big for AEW.
We want to thank @sportsninety for the following quote and breakdown from AEW’s post All Out Media Call.
Where he wants to be
Adam Cole was in an AEW event for a minute or two before showing he’s with the Elite, and it’s not a surprise given he was the head of the Undisputed Era that ran roughshod over NXT.
In the ring, he’s the cream of the crop and he knows it.
But outside of the ring, he’s a respectful individual who spoke highly on his meeting with Vince McMahon a few weeks ago when the WWE tried to resign him.
“The talk went great. We had a really good conversation about a lot of different things. The actual conversation itself was awesome. I had no bad experience with him whatsoever. He is an intimidating man. He definitely commands respect in a lot of ways, but the experience itself was totally fine.”
While nothing was worked out, it appears he left WWE in a respectful way, and that’ll be something Vince McMahon remembers if he wants to come back.
Cole also spoke about how when he came to AEW shows with Britt Baker, he knew he wanted to work with them but he didn’t know the WWE.
He had a great four year run there and was grateful for the opportunity.

Wants the risk
Bryan Danielson also shared some pretty cool insight and said he loves McMahon and has a great relationship with him, but McMahon was overprotective at times.
Danielson pointed out that after his contract ran out, McMahon made a very generous off and would let Danielson do things outside of the WWE, but Danielson wanted to stretch his legs, so to speak.
During a time when it’s the “cool thing” to bash one’s former employer, seeing both of these men come out and say they have a good relationship with McMahon is good to hear and allows us to focus more on their in ring work than what’s said.
One thing’s for sure, this is going to be a fun ride. Who would you like to see Danielson and Cole face first?
