The wrestling industry has really been taking off again in the past few years. Obviously the birth of AEW really got people talking, but Ring of Honor has been on a roll, New Japan is getting further into America, and now House of Glory is looking to become a major name. For those who don’t know about House of Glory, it started up in 2012 and is from the mind of Amazing Red.
He’s been able to bring big names such as The Lucha Bros, Ricochet, into the ring, and being consistent with show quality. However, they have a chance to compete now, with some major money backing and a huge show incoming.
Master P. Is Trying To Take House Of Glory To The Next Level
While it might not be someone like Tony Khan, HOG has a big money backer in Percy Robert Miller, also known by his stage name Master P. He is the man behind No Limit Records, has played in the NBA with the Charlotte Hornets and Toronto Raptors, and would get into the wrestling business by buying a major stake in HOG in October 2019. Things would have a rough start, but this will change come House of Glory: Born Again.
It’s already gaining hype, in part due to getting a billboard in Times Square in New York City. This is big for a company like AEW or WWE, let alone someone who is still as small as House of Glory. If you treat a company like a big deal, people will start to believe – and they look set to deliver a big show as well.
Amazing Red vs. Will Ospreay II Announced
While they have only announced one match for Born Again so far, it could be all they announce and it’d make a great show. Amazing Red was a trailblazer of the modern high flying style in professional wrestling, and an inspiration to men like Will Ospreay. They had a match which saw Red come out of retirement in the Super J Cup 2019, with Ospreay winning after 29 minutes.
We’re now getting the rematch of this dream match, and the show could be built around it. It could even see Ospreay defend his IWGP World Heavyweight Championship, as he still claims to be the real champion after being stripped earlier this year. That would be huge for this promotion – and it only takes one great show to get things moving.
