Hello and welcome to WWE Raw Live Results!
Tonight should be an interesting one as Big E will defend his championship against Bobby Lashley and if he wins he’ll be able to really start his championship reign.
After grabbing some snacks, we’ll be back at 8 p.m. EST to get WWE Raw Live Results rolling.
Segment 1
WWE Championship – Big E (c) vs. Bobby Lashley
Lashley dominated and hit the spear for the win, but the New Day came out and started brawling with the reformed Hurt Business.
Adam Pearce said Big E and Lashley will face each other later tonight in a steel cage match.
Basically, they’re making Big E’s titles run look as weak as possible to start. He deserves so much better, but we’ll see how it goes later tonight. It’ll be a clean win for Big E to fix this.
Segment 2
Erik w/Ivar vs. Angel Garza w/Humberto Carrillo
This was a quick one Garza won with a Wing Clipper after Carrillo distracted Erik.
Segment 3
24/7 Championship – Reggie (c) vs. Ricochet
This was fun while it lasted before R-Truth and Drew Gulak attacked them for a DQ, and Reggie escaped Tozawa.
Segment 4
Keith “Bearcat” Lee vs. Akira Tozawa
Lee debuted his new nickname in a true squash match as he destroyed poor Tozawa in a couple of minutes.
Segment 5
United States Championship No Hold Barred – Damian Priest vs. Sheamus
This started off as a slugfest, and Sheamus hit a White Noise off the apron and through a table as we headed to commercial.
Segment 6
This was an awesome match that Priest eventually won with a Reckoning to retain the US championship.
Segment 7
Mansoor, Mustafa Ali, and Jeff Hardy vs. Jinder Mahal, Veer, Shanky
This was a good but short match as Ali took the brunt of the punishment again when his partners were taken out. Well, Mansoor went to help Jeff against Shanky.
Veer hit a lariat for the pin on Ali.
Segment 8
Karrion Kross vs. Jaxson Ryker
Another too short a match. This could be special if they let them have a decent match length.
Segment 9
Riddle vs. AJ Styles w/Omos
This started off with a good back and forth, but Styles eventually gained the upper hand and threw Riddle to the floor as we headed to commercial.
Segment 10
This was another great match Styles won after countering a RKO attempt by Riddle into the Styles Clash for the win.
Segment 11
Raw Women’s Championship – Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Doudrop
Big surprise. Doudrop dominated and had it won in a couple of minutes when Eva Marie came out to distract her so Flair could hit a Natural Selection for the win.
Flair then dropped Marie for her trouble.
Segment 12
Goldberg promised to hurt Bobby Lashley when he gets his hand on him.
Eva Marie claimed she can beat anyone on the back, so Shayna Baszler came out and broke her arm on the ring steps after choking her out.
Segment 13
WWE Championship Steel Cage Match – Big E (c) vs. Bobby Lashley
Lashley attacked Big E as he climbed into the ring and knocked him to the floor. He then beat Big E from pillar to post and with ring steps as we headed to commercial.
The match hasn’t even started yet.
Segment 14
Once the match started, Big E found new life and despite being choked out with a dragon sleeper, he stopped Lashley from climbing out and went for it himself.
The Hurt Business stopped him from escaping, and the New Day slammed the cage door on Lashley’s head before Kofi took out the Hurt Business from the top of the cage as we headed to commercial.
Segment 15
Big E won by pinfall after hitting a Big Ending off the second rope. For whatever reason, Lashley kept trying to climb out instead of trying for a pin or submission when Big E was down like he’d normally do.
After the match, Drew McIntyre came out and pointed his sword at Big E as a challenge and it looks like Big E accepted.
Not a bad night, but not a great one despite the attempts to hype up the excitement. It felt too contrived like they were trying too hard or something. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below and thank you for joining WWE Raw Live Results.
