‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and it looks like we’re in for some interesting moments in this episode, and we’ve got the spoilery goodies to prove it.
With the wedding finally over, it’s time to get ready for the downturn in events for the time being as we shift gears for the next phase or storyline.
Basically, it looks like the focus will be returning to Genoa City in the coming days, and it should be pretty interesting.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Wednesday, October 20: Nikki to the rescue
Once again, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will take it upon herself to try to pull her family together and repair the rifts between Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and whichever offspring he’s alienated now.
This time, it’s Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow)’s turn and this could be one of the more difficult ones for Nikki to fix.
Nick and Victor have had their differences before and they always find their way to at least respecting each other. This time, that respect may be shattered. Or at least severely damaged.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers aren’t so sure there’s any coming back from this for Nick. He’s struggling as he loves his family, but his moral compass is pulling him away from their duplicitous natures.
He and Nikki knows this starts and ends with Victor, so it’ll be up to Nick to make the most strides and Victor won’t change or regret what he did and Nikki can only smooth the edges so much.
We’ve been expecting the Newman children to come together and turn on Victor at some point, but now it looks like the black sheep will be Nick.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Wednesday, October 20: Chloe’s on the hot seat
Whelp, Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman) will be looking for a pound of flesh and some explanations as to why Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) could allow Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) to pull her swap.
She’ll even play the sister-in-law card to drive home how betrayed she feels, and Chloe will take it as Lauren as every right to be upset.
But we think Chloe will also defend her and Sally’s actions as she was expecting this. She just hoped it’d happen later.
In the end, we think it’ll come down more to the fact it was Sally’s design and Sally Chloe chose over her own family, and this could create a rift.
Of course, Lauren wouldn’t have had this problem if she hadn’t fired Sally, but that’s water under the bridge.
This is going to be one of those scenes where plenty of popcorn will be enjoyed and maybe some gummy snacks to top it off.
