The WWE just does not get women’s wrestling. At least, that’s how it appears with the way they constantly mishandle it.
Other companies like AEW and Impact Wrestling treat their women’s divisions like other wrestlers when it comes to their matches and titles, while the WWE has allegedly cut their match time as they were heading out, which forced an impromptu fast match that’s a blink and you miss it affair.
And now they’ve dismantled all but one tag team left on the roster, and that’s the Women’s Tag Team Champions Nikki A.S.H. and Rhea Ripley.

Time to deactivate the title?
With the draft separating Natalya and Tamina, and Shotzi and Nox, the WWE has shown they don’t care about building a women’s tag division.
It’s not surprising as these titles aren’t connected to the original women’s tag titles that were deactivated in 1989 due to not enough tag teams to make it work.
So, the current titles have no lineage and are suffering the same end as the original ones. Just to put it in perspective, there are two men’s tag team championship despite only a handful of teams between the two main brands.
Brie Bella’s thoughts
On the Sippin’ the Tea podcast, Brie talked about the lack of storylines for the women and how she doesn’t understand the WWE’s reasoning with the Women’s tag division.
Special thanks to @sportsninety for the transcript for Brie’s comments.
“You would watch either RAW or SmackDown and the stories just didn’t feel like they were getting as much depth as they should have, and not as much time. Look at the tag division. I’m just like, wait – we went from having some many tag teams to now it doesn’t feel like a lot.
“But I’m blown away at some of the ones they got rid of. Riott Squad? I’ll never understand it. Even like Mandy and Dana Brooke looked like a great tag team walking down. The IIconics? I just try to wrap my head around it, like did they threaten somebody backstage? Because other than that, I don’t understand.”
Brie Bella’s not the only one, and storylines in general in the WWE have been poor at best in general, and it seems no one understands the WWE’s decisions when it comes to their talent or shows lately.
We’re told to watch the segments more, but it’s hard to watch something that’s barely on.
This is just another one to make us wonder if there’s a plan in place or is everything constantly in motion. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
