It’s a testament to how loved Bray Wyatt is by fans that he continues to have us on the edge of out seats and exploring every possibility of where he could go.
The leading theory has been Wyatt signing with AEW, and many of us were expecting/hoping to see him debut in Brodie Lee’s hometown.
It was a longshot and didn’t happen, and now it appears Tony Kahn put a nail in the coffin. Or did he?
On WFAN’s Moose and Maggie Show, Kahn said he’s not saying it won’t happen, but there’s nothing in the works now.
Special thanks to Givemesports.com for the following quote.
“He’s a great wrestler, and I have to be honest, we haven’t talked at all. I’ve known him in personal life, but in reality, we haven’t talked. But you never know.”
Is Tony Kahn being coy?
It’s easy to say Tony Kahn’s trying to throw everyone off, but with Wyatt under a 90 day non-compete clause no one can talk to him about a contract, or so that’s how we understand it.
This means that Kahn could be waiting for the deal to expire to talk with Wyatt, and given he’s signed several former WWE talent, he could be wary of a WWE lawsuit.
This also opens the door for Impact Wrestling to sign Wyatt is still open.
And with the two companies continuing to work together, it’s possible he’d be able to appear on AEW TV as well.
Impact Wrestling is still a possibility
It’s been reported that Impact Wrestling is highly interested in bringing him in, and they’ll give him the creative control WWE would never consider doing.
There are also rumors that Braun Strowman could be going to Impact Wrestling and the two of them could become a package deal of sort to see the Kult of Windham come to life.
It’s been months since we last saw Wyatt in action at WrestleMania 37 and the following Raw. He was then released by the WWE in July in a cost cutting move.
Fans have been vocal about wanting him back, but it appears Wyatt is ready to move on whether it’s with AEW, Impact Wrestling, or elsewhere.
Wherever he goes, we’re sure he’s going to make a huge splash and wrestling fans will benefit from his talent and creativity once again.
