Grayson Waller & LA Knight are both gunning to help and host Halloween Havoc next week, and that was enough for NXT 2.0 General Manager William Regal to make a one on one match tonight. Waller has been on the rise in NXT 2.0, becoming a fast fan favorite for his fast paced and boxing inspired offense.
Meanwhile LA Knight has been sinking since dropping a match to Bron Breakker – a man who was making his debut for the brand at the time. Knight needs this win to stay afloat, and he knows it. It’s not about holding the biggest Halloween Party around, even if he claims so. Grayson Waller on the other hand? He probably just wants to celebrate his first Halloween in America in a big way.
LA Knight Gets To Share The Spotlight With Chucky
Waller would be quick with a roll up – and it got a two count. LA Knight went for a scoop slam and was rolled up again, and nearly lost twice in the first minute. Waller would dodge a punch and counter into another near fall off a flash pinfall, but Knight wisened up to this plan.
The next attempt would be countered in the corner, before Waller hit a jawbreaker and some punches. Knight was taken down with a leg lariat before an STO dropped him, with Waller walking the ropes and slipping off as Knight approached. A big boot to the face and the BFT would end this match. Knight got a big win here- and will now get to share the spotlight with Chucky the Evil Doll I guess.
Watch Out For Solo Sikoa Next Week At Halloween Havoc
Speaking of Halloween Havoc, a big debut was announced in Solo Sikoa. He is a member of the Fatu family, which includes WWE Hall of Famer (and his father) Rikishi, current WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, and current WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions The Usos.
This gives him some huge shoes to fill, but he promises to bring something new to the table. While his cousins were in WWE, he was fending for himself on the streets – and that makes him perhaps the most dangerous member of the family. Next week, whoever drew him as an opponent better watch out.
Will Solo Sikoa join the bloodline, or keep riding Solo long into the future? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
