Since making her way back down to NXT, Mandy Rose has been a different type of competitor. She’s gotten a makeover and some new allies, and now is going for the NXT Women’s Championship. Alongside Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne, she’s taken Raquel Gonzalez down – but tonight? She’s all alone, and Gonzalez is a hard person to beat without backup. Dolin & Jayne captured gold to open the show, and now Rose had to spin the wheel, make the deal, and try to complete the Gold Rush.
This One Is Now A Trick Or Treat Fight After Chucky’s Choice
Before this match, we’d check in on the Grayson Waller halloween party. Tony D’Angelo is going to be on Lashing Out With Lash Legend next week, Cameron Grimes is going to play Poker with Duke Hudson, and Xyon Quinn slammed Robert Stone through a table. Great party, even has Von Wagner dressed as Brad Pitt!
Raquel Gonzalez would drive her motorcycle into the CWC and up the ramp, as the wheel would be spun. That motorcycle entrance is money, and Gonzalez should do that for every single match. The wheel picks Chucky’s Choice, and that would be a Trick or Street Fight! This means Rose can get some backup here, but she still jumped on Gonzalez to start this match and was able to get Gonzalez into the corner.
A suplex attempt was blocked, but Rose slipped outside and grabbed a Kendo Stick for some heavy blows. Gonzalez would weather the storm and throw Rose off the barricade, but would take some more Kendo Stick blows in response as we went to a commercial break. Back from the break, Gonzalez was back on top as she pulled Rose to the floor.
There was a table and some chairs set up in the ring, and this one was pure bedlam. Gonzalez took some more kendo stick shots and took a seat, before Rose trapped her in the chair with the kendo stick. One dropkick later, and Rose forgot the rules and tried to pin her outside – pinfall or submission in the ring for this one.
Mandy Rose Claims Her First Gold In WWE
Gonzalez got back into this with a fire extinguisher spray, cooling Rose off and throwing her right into the ring. Rose was flung onto some steel chairs face first, but was able to kick out at two. Another slam into the corner before this one went back outside, and Gonzalez hit a running big boot.
The stairs would prove hard to get into the ring, and Rose would take advantage with some strikes and a big knee strike for a two count. She looked for a powerbomb, but was sent over with a back body drop. Gonzalez rushed Rose into the corner with a big spear, sending her through a table in the process – getting a two count.
A black coated figure would smack Gonzalez with a shovel, and Rose took advantage with a knee strike. For the first time in her WWE career, Mandy Rose claims gold. The mysterious figure would be revealed to be none other than Dakota Kai. Dakota Kai was last seen in NXT when she failed to claim the NXT Women’s Championship from friend turned enemy Raquel Gonzalez.
It was back to the drawing board for Kai, and after some time of reflection – Kai had some time to rebuild. After some grim vignettes claiming they must bury their past to look forward, Kai would seek to do just that by taking Gonzalez down, and taking this feud to a new level.
