Dwayne Johnson, The Rock, surprised a Navy Veteran with an early Christmas present. This was during an unscheduled appearance at the movie, Red Notice’s screening. Oscar Rodriguez, the recipient, had been nominated by someone from the gym where he used to work and he was invited by film producers to the screening.
Dwayne Johnson Was Moved By Rodriguez’s Story
The gift was The Rock’s personal, custom-designed Ford pick up truck, Johnson disclosed that he had wanted to give Oscar the Porsche Taycan that he drove in the movie, Red Notice but Porshe did not agree, hence he gave his personal Raptor truck. Johnson said he chose Rodriguez because his story moved him.

He said on his Instagram, “I gathered as much information as I could about everyone in the audience and ultimately, Oscar’s story moved me. Takes care of his 75-year-old mom. Personal trainer, Leader at his church. Provides support and meals for women victimized by domestic violence. Proud and humble veteran, kind human being.”
Johnson also shared a video on his Instagram where Rodriguez receives his gift, the truck The Rock calls “baby.” “What the heck is happening?!” Rodriguez exclaims as he drops to the ground beside the vehicle after
reading a note that read “Thank you for your service brother. Enjoy your new truck.” It was obvious how overwhelmed he was.
Rodriguez then hugs Johnson and weeps, he then says “I thought this was your truck, bro!” Johnson replied to him, “It is my truck. Now it is your truck.” Rodriguez then face-timed his girlfriend and drove off in his new truck.
Rodriguez, speaking to Eyewitness, explains that he is a fan of Johnson, especially because of his positivity and how he inspires others. He then said he hoped to pay forward with the truck. He posted his reaction on social media and said, “I woke up today, counted my blessings. It’s thanksgiving. There’s just so much to be thankful for.”
