Randy Orton is one of the most decorated performers in WWE history, and he’s going to set a new record this weekend at Survivor Series by appearing in the most pay-per-views in history.
Out of all of his records, this could be the most impressive as it shows the longevity of his career and that’s no easy feat.
It’s a testament to his work ethic and talent as he’s been able to last so long and to be involved in so many PPVs is an epic landmark.
In an industry where connection to fans is everything, this is one thing Orton can really be proud of.

Topping an impressive list
With his and Riddle’s match against the Usos in a Champion vs. Champion match, Orton will log his 177 pay-per-view match.
He’ll move past Kane for the most ever, but there’s still an impressive list of names he’s worked through over the years.
They include the Undertaker with 174, Triple H with 173, and John Cena with 163.
Granted, while the WWE has a PPV every month and sometimes two depending on their Saudi trips, it’s still an impressive feat given the wear and tear their bodies go through.
More to come
With Orton wanting to wrestling until he’s 50, we have a few more years left to enjoy his talent and see what other records he breaks over time.
He’s one of those special talents like Brock Lesnar that can turn from heel to face and back again with a simple look or expression, and it’s always fun to see what he’s going to do next.
While we have no doubt he’ll add to his PPV total, there’s also the question of when he’ll break Ric Flair’s record for more world championship reigns.
There was some talk that Charlotte Flair would break the record first, but if she’s on the outs with the company as some reports suggest, this could shift to Orton’s advantage in their race.
In some ways this is surreal as it feel like only yesterday he started in the WWE and appeared in his first PPV match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the 2003 Elimination Chamber.
He’s come a long way and there’s still plenty more to come. What is your favorite Randy Orton PPV match? Let us know in the comments below.
