Last night at WWE Survivor Series, there were just two matches that really stood out. The main event between Roman Reigns & Big E was a proper heavyweight main event which saw both men shine, and the opening match between Charlotte Flair & Becky Lynch brought a sense of danger as they brawled it out. Seth Rollins would also get a big win, being the sole survivor for Team RAW, but he was mainly worried about his wife last night.
Seth Rollins Backs Up Rumors That The Heat Between Flair & Lynch Is Legit
It should come as no surprise at this point that Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch are together, seeing as they have a young child together and are married. Lynch took time off to give birth, and came back to WWE in better shape than ever before. However, fear of the growing tension between Lynch & Flair boiling over in the ring would have Rollins concerned – as he would reveal during a talk with Ariel Helwani of BT Sport.
“I can’t even relate to the experience she probably went through out there tonight. It’s one thing to go out and perform on a high level on a pay-per-view, having a near one-year-old baby that you also have to take care of, but when you have a falling out with your best friend, and I can tell you, legitimately, that’s been a process that’s been going on for years and it really reached a boiling point recently, as all the reports have said.
There was nothing about going into this match she was comfortable with and I imagine it was an extremely cathartic experience for her. I’ve been out there and had matches where there wasn’t that much tension and it brought me to tears when I came back. I can only assume she’s in an interesting place, hopefully, a good place because they both killed it out there and I was really proud of her and everything she has done and did tonight,”
Rumors Or Reality, They Put Things Aside And Kept Things Professional
It seems they were able to keep things professional, with the match just seeming dangerous without reaching levels of Antonio Inoki & The Great Antonino. Backstage heat is bad, but if you take it to the ring as well, that is when you start to risk losing your job – even if you’re Charlotte Flair. Flair & Lynch are on separate brands, so aside from untelevised supershows, they likely won’t cross paths.
At the end of the day, they either did a fantastic job blurring the lines between kayfabe and reality with their match last night. The tension felt real, which means it either was – or they are excellent and their jobs. Which do you think it was? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
