It’ll be fun to relive some of his moments, though we’re sure the show will avoid ones like when he mentored Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) and grew so obsessed with her he felt he needed to rape her.
Or attempt to, as this was soap’s way of creating supercouples, because he was stopped by Paul Williams (Doug Davidson). Michael subsequently shot him and was sentenced to four years in prison.
Michael returned to Genoa City after serving his time for the grueling community service of being a paralegal and was focused on revenge against Christine.
But he found a way to redeem himself and get his law license back with some help from the same Christine and all he had to do was donate a kidney.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, January 10: Following the trend
No one is irredeemable in soaps, and Michael is another name to that list as he eventually went to work for the DA’s office.
It makes sense that after so many years he’d want to take some time off, and it looks like he’s grown tired of practicing law for so long and will ask a semi-rhetorical question about hanging it up.
His family won’t hesitate to respond in a sarcastic way, and we think he’ll go through with it.
There’s every chance he’ll be joking, but it looks like he’s ready for a career change and we’re curious what that’ll be.
He has a few options, and one of those could become the legal council for his wife’s company, or totally go in a different direction.
At this point, we’re hoping he has a solid storyline coming up where he’ll do more than walk in and say a couple lines once every few months.
It’ll be interesting to see what’s planned for him or if the character and actor are retiring.
What do you think Michael will do, and what’s your favorite storyline with him? Let us know in the comments below and check back with ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation.
