‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set for what looks to be a fun episode with plenty of spoilery goodies to spread around.
It’s been a while since we had a weekly climactic episode, and we’re set for this week’s and there’s plenty of popcorn on hand to get us through it.
‘The Young and the Restles’ Spoilers Thursday, January 6: Standing his ground
This is going to get super messy before too long, and there’s plenty of blame to go around.
From Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) wanting to have a child while her husband was away and everyone around her enabling her got the ball rolling and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) is getting ready to dunk it.
He’s been wanting to spend more time with his biological son, and we’re surprised and glad that Abby drew a line and told him no.
She wants their agreement to remain intact while Devon wants to spend more time with Dominic.
We’ve all heard of stories where birth mothers change their minds about giving up their child for adoption at the last minute even if there’s a home waiting, but this is an animal all its own.
Devon won’t back down, and we expect this to become a very ugly and nasty contention as he’ll eventually go the legal route.
If not, well, they’ve wasted a great buildup with another lackluster ending, but we’ll have to wait and see.
‘The Young and the Restles’ Spoilers Thursday, January 6: Ashland doubts Victoria
It was only a matter of time before Ashland Locke (Richard Burghi) questioned Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle)’s motives for working with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).
It’s only natural since Ashland wants to make sure he knows where his wife stands, and also because he feels threatened by Billy.
At least, that’s ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers thinks since Billy he’s Victoria’s ex and father to her children, not to mention he knows Ashland’s past.
It’s going to be an interesting conversation as we’re curious how Victoria will handle it. We doubt Ashland will believe her, but will he question her enough to go to her father and brother to betray her and her trust?
‘The Young and the Restles’ Spoilers Thursday, January 6: Billy turns the tables
After all of his careful planning didn’t have the effect Billy wanted, he’s going to up his game and we suspect he’s going to turn the tables by using Adam Newman (Mark Grossman)’s family.
We don’t think he’d target his children, but Adam’s personal life would be a good target as well as him helping to hid Ashland’s past.
Billy may even push hard enough to cause Adam to slip back into his old habits.
