Jana Duggar‘s child endangerment charges have now been put to bed once and for all after they were settled outside of court.

This is a welcome relief for the Duggar family, especially after what they have been through. Jana’s brother Josh Duggar was recently convicted of being in possession of child pornography which had placed the family in a difficult position.
After all, it was impossible to defend Josh in light of the mounting evidence that was coming to light which only went on to damage the credibility of everybody associated with him.
But now that she has managed to put this incident behind her, Jana can focus on herself which could not be at a better time in light of the New Year beginning.
As a result, Jana will no longer need to attend a court hearing that was scheduled to take place this month. And yet, that has not stopped the criticism from emerging.
Although Jana always stressed that the incident which led to the authorities becoming involved was an accident, given that a child had slipped away from her after a momentary period of distraction, the very fact of the matter is that people still blamed her for not being more careful.
Her cousin Amy Duggar King, though, has continued to defend Jana. In a post to her fans on Instagram, Amy remarked: “I will call out what is right and I will call out what is wrong.
“This couldn’t have been intentional. I bet you were exhausted, stressed and just emotionally worn out. Watching multiple kids is hard!”
Much in the same way, Jana’s sister Jessa Duggar Seewald also backed her up. She felt that things were being blown out of proportion, especially since there were no injuries involved.
In this way, such a thing could have happened to anyone, but unfortunately for Jana, it was picked up by the authorities. Jessa stated: “Bottom line – it was an innocent mistake.”
What this experience has taught Jana is that she should be more careful, and that is something that she is going to take on board going forward.
