‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) Spoilers here and we’re set to kick off the New Year in style and with some non-alcoholic spoilery goodies.
Nothing beats celebrating the New Year in Salem and we’re in for some memorable encounters, returns, and announcements as we get 2022 underway.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Mending fences
It looks like we’re going to see some bridges repaired this week as Jack Deveraux (Mathew Ashford) will take strides to mend his relationship with Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) and Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) to start the year off on the right foot.
This will be fun to see as Jack was at his happiest celebrating his ties with them before Abigail Deveraux (Marci Miller) blew things up by confronting Gwen with her secrets.
And what’s better to get things rolling than by Abigail joining with Xander in their quest to find Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey).
Granted, Abigail will do so at Maggie Horton (Suzanne Rogers)’s request, but we think it’s going to be a pretty fun storyline, and with Gwen squirming the whole while what could go wrong?
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Johnny’s announcement
Now that Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) is possessed, ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers think he’s going to make an announcement to one and all that he’s going to continue with making his possession movie.
It’ll upset everyone in Salem off, but he’ll weasel enough sympathy to get the support he needs while also destroying their relationships.
We don’t see this lasting for long, but we also didn’t see the devil jumping from Marlena Evans (Diedre Hall) again.
We loved the surprise ending last week, but we’re not sure how we feel about this storyline continuing after it felt too drawn out with Marlena being possessed.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Celebrating with friends and family
As with any big celebration, we’re going to get to see the celebration of the Hortons, DiMeras. And the Prices.
We’re going to get to welcome back some old favorites like Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) and Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley) as well as say goodbye to Jack and Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves) as they head back to Boston.
This will also be a good sequence as Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) will be at the DiMera’s party and she’ll try to reconcile with Lani Price (Sal Stowers).
We’re curious how much longer Lani will be angry with her with everyone else softening, and it gives us the impression this could be an emotionally powerful segment.
