We’re just one day away from the 2022 Royal Rumble, and talent are starting to assemble to get ready for one of WWE’s biggest shows of the year. When it comes to the Women’s Royal Rumble match, a lot of the potential surprise entrants were spoiled by WWE themselves. Everyone from Lita to Mickie James to Nikki Bella are known to be in the match – and now Nikki has spoiled another surprise entrant.
Nikki Bella Spoils A Surprise Entrant In The 2022 Royal Rumble
During a recent Instagram Live, Nikki Bella would let it slip that former WWE Women’s Champion, Melina was with her on the plane to St. Louis, Missouri. She also let it slip that Melina will be in the Royal Rumble itself. Right now, Melina tends to wrestle for both the NWA & Impact Wrestling.
In WWE, she is a five time women’s champion – and was praised by Bret Hart as being “one of the best wrestlers in the world”. She was by far one of the best of her era, and remains a very capable worker in 2022. There is a good chance that she could even stick around in WWE following the Rumble, with how limited both women’s divisions are in 2022.
Ronda Rousey Remains The Odds On Favorite To Win The Match
Right now, the favorite to win the Royal Rumble remains Ronda Rousey. WWE have been pushing hard for her to return, and a deal seems to be struck up. She will be the biggest surprise that the Royal Rumble has to offer in 2022, and WWE has been working to try and keep fans in the dark about this.
Rousey making her return will be huge for WWE, and make surprises like Melina fade into the background. This is why the likes of Melina will work twice as hard to impress in this match, to try and get a solid run after the over-the-top rope battle royale.
