Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Criticized For Withdrawing Support For Joe Rogan After N-Word – ‘My Family Was Huge Rock Fans Until Now’

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Criticized For Withdrawing Support For Joe Rogan After N-Word - 'My Family Was Huge Rock Fans Until Now'

Dwayne Johnson has been criticised after he withdrew his support for Joe Rogan in the aftermath of a prior video emerging of the podcast host using the n-word.

Dwayne Johnson Criticised For Withdrawing His Support For Joe Rogan-‘My Family Was Huge Rock Fans Until Now’

Joe Rogan, for his part, had initially been accused of spreading misinformation surrounding Covid-19 which resulted in several musicians demanding that Spotify either remove their music or Joe’s podcast.

But now it looks as though there is a general dislike on the left for Joe and his wider views. That is why ‘The Rock’ has now changed his position in light of the n-word video emerging.

In a post to his followers on Twitter, ‘The Rock’ said: “Thank you so much for this. I hear you as well as everyone here 100% I was not aware of his N word use prior to my comments, but now I’ve become educated to his complete narrative.

“Learning moment for me.” These comments would suggest that Dwayne is no longer interested in appearing on Joe’s show. In the aftermath of the initial Spotify scandal, ‘The Rock’ had suggested that he would be open to appearing on it.

After all, Joe is known for attracting a huge fan base by speaking out against the status quo. In a statement at the time, Dwayne had remarked: “Great stuff here brother. Perfectly articulated.

“Look forward to coming on one day and breaking out the tequila with you.” Nevertheless, not everyone was satisfied with Dwayne’s stance on the matter.

A certain subset of people implied that Dwayne had buckled under pressure and simply decided to give up his views in light of cancel culture.

This was on the basis that Joe’s n-word video was not only taken out of context, but also something that had occurred a long time ago.

One person wrote: “Really sad, my family was huge rock fans until now. Really amazing how you can’t trust people.”

Public opinion is always shifting, and until Joe Rogan is fully accepted back into the public fold, it is simply too much of a risk for people to voice their support for him even if they do agree with some, if not all of his views.
