While some fans are sick of the 24/7 Championship in WWE, being purely a joke championship in the company. The gag got old years ago, but it has brought some good to WWE. From some hilarious segments with R-Truth & Drake Maverick, to the rise of Reggie – fans have some things to look back fondly on with the belt. However, one of WWE’s biggest stars is worried about Reggie, and that’s Randy Orton.
Randy Orton Worries About Reggie’s Knees
While speaking on the Ringer Wrestling Show, Randy Orton would say he learned a lot from John Cena – and is also worried about fellow hometown St. Louis stars Reggie. He’d say the following.
“It gets highly, highly difficult to remember all that and when you watch it back, you’ll never have a chance as a fan to sit down and digest anything you’ve seen. Damn it, I love Reggie, he’s a local St. Louisan like myself, but I worry about that kid. He’s doing these flips, his knees are going to blow out before he even goes out and gets to work with anybody. There’s something to be said about longevity in this sport, in this business. I learnt a lot of that from John Cena.”
Orton Plans To Wrestle Until He’s 50 – Reggie Wasn’t Factored Into Royal Rumble
Right now, Randy Orton claims he’s ready to wrestle until he’s 50 – giving another nine years on his WWE run. Orton has always worked a very safe style, which lends itself well to a long career in professional wrestling. Fans will likely even get to see him reach 16 WWE Championships at this rate, with Orton only two reigns away.
Oddly, Reggie was not used in the Men’s Royal Rumble – despite his hyper athletic style lending itself well to adding some spots to the match.Instead, he showed up alongside Dana Brooke in the Women’s Rumble, saving her from elimination once. This was a misstep from WWE, as Reggie could have added some extra excitement to a boring Royal Rumble match.
