For better or for worse, Ronda Rousey is back in WWE. She returned at the 2022 Royal Rumble – and was able to win the match, setting up a match with Charlotte Flair for Wrestlemania later this year. However, she’s already been proving having some issues dealing with WWE fans once again – and has potentially already started to lose her cool.
Ronda Rousey Thinks WWE Fans Are Ungrateful
After leaving WWE for the first time, Rousey made her thoughts on WWE fans clear, when she’d vent about them during an interview. Rousey felt her time in WWE was just “spending my time and my energy on a bunch of fucking ungrateful fans that don’t even appreciate me.” This is a very hostile take on WWE fans, especially considering Rousey was cheered for the the bulk of her run.
Now, during a Facebook gaming stream – Rousey had the following to say about WWE fans, and why she has a hard time dealing with them.
“It’s hard not to take it personally from the fans because, I do go out there as a character, but also, I am actually Ronda Rousey, I don’t play Ronda Rousey on television. Sometimes I take it personally from the fans, not so much from the other wrestlers.”
Fans Aren’t Excited About The Coming Wrestlemania Match
Right now, it seems like this will be an issue – especially as fans are not excited about the Wrestlemania match that they’re being given. Charlotte Flair has not been a fan favourite for a while, and neither has Ronda Rousey. Fans are very likely to give them hell at Wrestlemania, which might not sit well with Rousey.
Currently, the plan is for Rousey to stick around until Wrestlemania 39, where she will have the long-awaited singles match with Becky Lynch. However, WWE plans change constantly, and if Rousey isn’t able to handle WWE fans at Wrestlemania 38 – things could be up in the air.
