Kody Brown Admits He Is ‘Still In A Grieving Process’ Following His Split From Christine Brown
During the recent reunion on ‘Sisters Wives,’ Kody expanded on the mistakes that he had made in their marriage. One of his admissions was that he had not taken into account Christine’s displeasure at being involved in a polygamous relationship.
After all, Christine’s views were always going to be factored in against what the other wives wanted. While it is good to see Kody opening up and taking responsibility now, the very fact of the matter is that it is too little, too late.
In an episode of the show, he said: “I didn’t know she was going…I mean, I had heard rumors from my children that she had been kind of throwing things around and even other wives saying, ‘Oh she’s always threatened that she was going to leave.”
And yet, it was clear to see that the split was the right thing to do. Kody revealed that he had done everything in his power to make sure that Christine could be happy.
And in hindsight, the pair simply wanted different things in their lives. While that has become clear now, at the time, Kody was oblivious to it.
He added: “I’ve been trying to make her happy all the time. It’s this constant burden. There is something missing, there’s some problem, something is going on.”
With the reality now having arrived, Kody has found it difficult to adjust knowing that Christine is not in his life. This is entirely understandable, given that they had been together for 25 years.
That affection is not going to go away overnight, as it became clear that Kody is still healing from the pain that he has had to endure.
After all, there is a question of where does Kody go from here as Christine’s departure could have an impact on the other wives too. He continued: “Now, I just look forward to [the] healing process…but I’m still in a grieving process now.”
