Following the release of a documentary by Netflix that shares the story of how a Con Artist, Simon Leviev, got into various women’s lives and was able to make a lot of money off of them; an interview was held with two of the women who fell victims of the con artist’s antics.
Tinder Swwinder’s Victims Share Their Experiences
Tinder Swindler’s victims, Cecilie Schroder Fjellhoy and Pernilla Sjoholm, sat down with Drew on The Drew Barrymore Show on Friday, February 11 to discuss the documentary. They stated that Shimon-the con artist, had indeed taken thousands of dollars from them after faking a relationship with them; which gave him the chance to steal from them.

The ladies, Cecilie and Pernilla, had both met Simon Leviev on Tinder, a dating app. When Cecilie was asked what she would say to the con artist at that exact moment, she said, “I think that he needs help. “I really feel that he needs help and I feel sorry for him.
That’s what I would like to say too. I feel really, really sorry for him. A very empty life he has.” What Pernilla had to say on the other hand was, “I would say that I told him that I’m gonna do everything to let everyone know who he is and I think I sort of accomplished that and just say “I told you so. Drew responded to Pernilla’s statement, “Mission accomplished.”
To the Netflix production, Simon responded in a voice note, where he said, “I will proceed with the lawsuit against you for discrimination and lies and, you know, everything is based basically on a lie. And that’s it, this is how it’s gonna be.” Pernilla and Cecilie also explained that after they had been swindled of their money, they were still paying up their debt.
Simon on the other hand has not been charged with any crime relating to the women, nor any other. He spent 5 months in jail in Israel for separate fraud charges. Simon was also banned from using Tinder in 2019, when the story initially broke out.
