Trump-Loving YouTube Channel Offers Joe Rogan $100 Million To Leave Spotify

Trump-Loving YouTube Channel Offers Joe Rogan $100 Million To Leave Spotify

If Joe Rogan gets tired of his ongoing issues with Spotify, he could always find a new home at Rumble. With Rogan facing massive backlash following alleged dissemination of COVID-19 misinformation and, more recently, a compilation video of him using the “N-Word”, Spotify are under just as much scrutiny as the controversial host.

Enter Rumble, a Trump-loving video sharing platform who want a piece of the lucrative Rogan pie. In a statement released to Twitter, Rumble stepped up to the table with an apparently serious offer to buy Joe Rogan out of his Spotify contract.

The Tweet was a picture of a letter, below, captioned “Hey @joerogan, we are ready to fight alongside you. See the note from our CEO @chrispavlovski…”

“We stand with you, your guests, and your legion (of) fans in desire for real conversation. So we’d like to offer you 100 million reasons to make the world a better place.”

How about you bring all your shows to Rumble, both old and new, with no censorship for 100 million bucks over four years? This is our chance to save the world. And yes, this is totally legit.”

Spotify acquired the entirety of The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan’s controversial podcast, for $100 million in 2020. This marked Spotify’s pivot away from music streaming towards “audio content creation”, a shift towards the potentially more lucrative market of podcast streaming.

Since then, however, Rogan has been mired in controversy. Most recently, he came under fire for interviewing American cardiologist Peter McCullough and vaccine scientist Dr Robert Malone.

Both men espouse controversial beliefs regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, and Rogan’s supposed mainstreaming of COVID “misinformation” was enough to raise the ire of Canada’s leading folk-rock troubadour, Neil Young. Young gave Spotify an ultimatum: cancel Joe Rogan, or he leaves Spotify and takes his music with him.

“I am doing this because Spotify is spreading fake information about vaccines, potentially causing death to those who believe the disinformation being spread by them.”

Young’s longtime friends like Graham Nash, Joni Mitchell and, most recently, India. Arie joined the chorus of those calling for Rogan’s removal from the platform. Joe Rogan since issued a few response videos, apologising, promising to do better.

Rumble is a Canada-based video sharing platform that, according to Reuters, entered an agreement to deliver video and streaming for Truth Social, former US President Donald Trump’s proposed social media app. Rumble caters primarily to a right-leaning audience.

Should Joe Rogan leave Spotify for Rumble? Let us know in the comments.
