Bron Breakker isn’t someone who cares about the odds, and tonight proves it. Having just one defence of the NXT Championship under his belt, he is stepping up to take on two of his hardest challengers to date. Breakker knows Tommaso Ciampa well, having shared the ring with him three times as an opponent – but tonight Dolph Ziggler is looking to add the NXT Championship to his legacy. It’s a triple threat match with high stakes – but that’s just the way the young champion likes it.
Bron Breakker Hits The Ring With Two Veterans
Ziggler would dip out of the ring to start this match, allowing Ciampa to roll up Breakker for a one count. Breakker looked for the jumping shoulder tackle, and Ciampa ducked – sending Breakker flying. Ziggler would run into a spinebuster from Breakker, before both Ziggler & Ciampa were hit with a suplex.
Breakker was sent to the floor by Ziggler, before Ciampa looked for the Fairytale Ending. Ziggler would slip free, but Ciampa send him to the floor before hitting the dive onto Breakker. He’d set up both challengers in the ring for the Forever Lariats, before taking a dropkick from Ziggler.
Ziggler was run down with a lariat, before Ciampa pulled him outside and slammed him off the announce table. Back in the ring, Ziggler would corner Ciampa for some punches, before being hit with a Manhattan Drop from Ciampa and Belly To Belly Suplex from Breakker.
Dolph Ziggler Steals The Show – And The NXT Championship
Ciampa would end up in the Steiner Recliner, before Ziggler came in and applied the Sleeper Hold on Breakker. Breakker would break the hold by dropping back, slamming Ziggler right onto Ciampa. All three men would exchange blows, with Breakker sent to the floor with a knee strike.
Ziggler hit Fameasser and Zig Zag for the two count on Ciampa, before taking Project Ciampa for a near fall. Breakker was able to hit the ring as Ciampa looked for Fairytale Ending – cutting him down with a spear. Ziggler took a spear as well, before the powerslam landed – and Robert Roode saved the match.
Ciampa hit Willows Bell & Fairytale Ending – and Ziggler tried to still the victory, but Breakker somehow kicked out. Breakker would be pulled out of the ring by Roode, and Ziggler hit a superkick to become NXT Champion!
