Jon and Rachel got married back in 2018 but could not get to move in with each other. Jon has had previous legal issues which prevented him from getting a Visa to join his wife in the United States and Rachel could not also move in with Jon in the UK because she has joint custody of one of her daughters.

The pandemic also posed a problem to the couple meeting. But they both reunited in January as Rachel and her second daughter got to travel down to s some time with Jon. With so much time apart from his wife and her daughters, and many fans worried about Jon’s inability to be with them, Jon took to his Instagram page to update fans about his visa issues.
“We’ll have a final answer about my visa soon and I can’t wait.” He posted on April 26. Jon also added that all he wants is to be with his family and he described the waiting as “agony.”

It is clear that although the couple have not been able to spend as much time with each other, the love that Jon had for Rachel since the beginning of the show has not dwindled a bit; he described his partner as “patient and amazing” even during the waiting period. Many fans took to Jon’s comment section to show their support and wish him well.
An Instagram user commented, “can we all meet you at the airport and celebrate together?” while another said, “praying you get your approval. You deserve to be with your family here.” A third user said she was hoping Jon “will be with Rachel and Lucy soon” because she loved him on the 90 Day fiancé show. Although Lucy is not his biological child, he has accepted Lucy as his own and has loved her.
