Geoffrey Paschel was introduced to fans in Season 4 of Before the 90 Days when he was pursuing Russian beauty, Varya Malina. He flew over to meet her so they would get engaged, but he returned home empty-handed. Fortunately for him, his bestie, Mary was there to mend his broken heart, but Varya quickly flew back to America to claim her man. The duo eventually realized they loved eavj other and Varya agreed to marry him.

However, their 90 Day Fiancé journey was cut short because Geoffrey went to prison for domestic assault, interference with emergency calls, aggravated kidnapping, and vandalism. In 2022, he was sentenced to 18 years in prison without the chance for parole.
’90 Day Fiance’ Spoilers: Will Geoffrey Get A Retrial?
Varya Malina has revealed that Geoffrey Paschel’s motion for a new trial, scheduled for April 14, 2022 has been postponed. She said, “The motion for the new trial was delayed for a variety of reasons, which nobody had time to explain us [sic], and I doubt that cared.”
This happened motion because Paschel’s lawyer believed some pictures that had been allowed were actually from another date, so they were not be applicable. The Lawyer, Gregory Issacs also added: “We have also set forth in our motion for a new trial that we don’t feel the evidence was sufficient to convict Geoffrey of aggravated kidnapping under the requirements of Tennessee law.”
When the Russian beauty first announced the news, she didn’t reveal a date for the retrial, but now, it has been postponed to May 26th according to a court clerk rep. Geoffrey was sentenced to eighteen years and he will be facing the same judge he had before, so no one knows what will happen next.
