Many WWE fans were heartbroken to find out that Dakota Kai was released from her WWE contract yesterday. She was just one of the ten names released from the company, and someone who fans were hoping to see claim the NXT Women’s Championship. However, after a set of WWE main roster tryouts saw the higher ups in the company not see her potential – she would but cut, much to the dismay of even some of the biggest names in the division such as Bayley.
Bayley Got Plenty Of Support From Dakota Kai – Was Hoping To Wrestle Her In WWE
Having been on the shelf since just ahead of Money in the Bank 2021 – Bayley has been trying to return to the ring following a torn ACL. One person who gave constant support was Dakota Kai, as Bayley would express during a set of tweets. Bayley had the following to say.
“I can never fully express how much Dakota Kai has helped me during my injury process. She constantly checks in on me, reassures what I’m feeling is only temporary, and shares her experience with me so I don’t feel alone.
And Dakota is one of the main reasons I couldn’t wait to get healthy. For the opportunity to wrestle her, to work alongside her, to make history with her. Now I just have to be jealous of whoever gets to. We love you Charlie! See you around ”
Dakota Kai Has A 30 Day Non-Compete Clause To Wait Out First
Following this release, Dakota Kai will have a 30 day non-compete clause, keeping her away from Impact Wrestling or All Elite Wrestling. After this, she will be free to sign with whoever is interested in bringing her on.
Demand could be high for Kai, as she has proven many times to be one of the most adaptable talents in the industry today, and capable of having a great match with just about anyone. She would be a great fit in AEW, with options to boost either the AEW or ROH women’s division in place.
