Mainly what was happening during the reign of the pandemic, the controversial host of the podcast Joe Rogan, was featuring experts in virology and scientists in general who were against the COVID 19 vaccines. This was resulting in much noise being raised for the popular podcast.
Joe Rogan’s Podcast Popularity Is On Fire
Even though many claimed that the podcast dropped in popularity due to this, recent numbers have shown quite the contrary. Since the pandemic started his podcast has gained millions and millions of subscribers and regular visitors.
Joe Rogan managed to get to the headlines of the press several more times recently. The most popular headliner being a video of him using the N-word. There were many stories on the internet regarding this. Many celebrities judged this and pointed their fingers at him, and many were supporting him saying that the video has taken out of context his words.
In any case, however it was, one is sure. And that is why the famous podcaster happens to get even more popular. This caused him to get a boost in the number of accounts that subscribed to his channel.
During his latest podcast featuring the political commentator Douglas Murray, a question popped up about whether his popularity dropped after the ‘media storm’.
“Since we last met you have been put through the wringer. They did a number on you. Wow.” – Murray said.
“It’s interesting, my subscriptions went up massively — that’s what’s crazy. During the height of it all, I gained two million subscribers … Yeah, the media went for it. It’s also fortunate that the people who went for it were CNN. They’re so untrustworthy and people know how biased they are and socially weird their anchors are.” – Joe replied.
Joe continued his conversation while mocking CNN. He exclaimed how they’ve spent a great amount of money in order to gain popularity and gain followers on social media, however, the outcome was only 10 000 subscribers. And on the contrary, he without putting at all gained followers in the number of millions.
“I talk shit for a living — that’s why this is so baffling to me. If you’re taking vaccine advice from me, is that really my fault? What dumb shit were you about to do when my stupid idea sounded better? ‘You know that dude who made people eat animal dicks on TV? How does he feel about medicine?’ If you want my advice, don’t take my advice.” – Joe added.
It is obvious that even though he featured scientists and experts he himself is not an expert on any of it. However, he puts a lot of effort to put together a great podcast full of content. It’s up to the consumers to decide whether they will believe everything. Everyone with healthy mind will push the information through some kind of a filter before taking it for granted.
