Kim Kardashian has admitted that she was sleeping when news broke about her sister Kourtney Kardashian’s ‘marriage’ to Travis Barker.

The pair decided to elope and get married in Vegas with the help of an Elvis impersonator. However, it subsequently transpired that the ceremony was not legally binding, which in any event was done on a whim.
While this is going to be a prelude for what is to come, Kim was a little late to the party. When asked if she was aware of the wedding, Kim said: “I was sleeping…She put it in the group chat. Like, ‘Oh, hey guys, by the way.
“I got married last night!’ And I woke up to like, a million texts.” It was probably just as well that the couple did not get married. After all, the Kardashian family will most likely have wanted to attend.
Not only that, but given their preference for doing things that are bigger and grander, it is clear that they would have wanted to have some input in the proceedings.
And yet, had things turned out their own way, Kourtney stated that she was insistent on getting the ceremony legally binding. In a statement, she remarked: “There was no possibility to get a marriage license at that hour.
“We asked like five times, ‘What do we have to do to make this happen?’ It was 2 a.m., and they were like, ‘It opens at 8 o’clock.’ ” The response on social media was one of ridicule.
People took Kim’s comments to mock the Kardashians in general, as they felt that Kourtney’s actions were designed to generate publicity for the family’s new reality series ‘The Kardashians.’
One fan wrote: “To be honest I tend to want to nod off at everything Kardashianey as well.” There is still plenty of time for Kourtney and Travis to get married at some point in the future.
