After the clash in 2019, when Jorge Masvidal won with a TKO in round three over Nate Diaz, Nick Diaz’s brother, there have been many rumors saying that the brother Nick is now seeking revenge.
Nick Diaz has called out Masvidal after his nasty comments directed at his brother. “I almost damn near killed him. I am sorry though that I didn’t baptize him, rut it back!” – said the Gamebred after the fight.
Nick Diaz vs Masvidal, Would It Be A Good Show?
The fight needed to be stopped in the 3rd round due to a huge cut over Diaz’s eye that he got in the first round. The doctor allowed him to proceed up till round three. Since the cut grew worse and worse with time, and with receiving more blows to it, the doctor requested an immediate stoppage.
This left the fighters, as well as the fans unsatisfied with the finish since they were expecting a greater ending to the bout. Taking in consideration the BMF status of both fighters, we all can agree that the fight deserved a more exciting finish.
Through the time, we thought that we would see a Nate Diaz against Jorje Masvidal fight sooner, than later, however, this still did not happen.
There have been callouts from both sides, but no action. Masvidal recently said – “It could be you Nate Diaz that gets this ass whooping bro. I go back to beating the shit out of you just to keep myself entertained. Let’s fucking go, man. I wanna break your fucking face.”
Since we are not about to see a BMF belt fight between these two in recent times. We are hoping for the second-best outcome.
Nick Diaz recently tweeted – “All I see is fucking dollar signs right now. It’s not on me. You wanna talk about baptizing my younger brother, that’s on you. I never had anything disrespectful to say, but you’re already in a fucked-up position if you fight with me. That’s my baby brother, you don’t talk like that to anybody. So who rides on who’s side? “ – and added – “Jorge Masvidal, UFC, Dana White, give the fans that real shit what they wanna see. Arrange me a fight against The Gamebred.”
Even though Nate has a better and more experienced striking technique than Nick, the younger brother has the size, power, and motivation to win this fight.
The brothers seemingly have similar fighting styles, however, due to the minor differences in style and due to the more powerful strikes, Nick Diaz might be more dangerous.
Will they be given the opportunity to see this happen? We sure hope so. There is only one way to find out whether the brother will be avenged. Make it happen!
