UFC lightweight Paddy “the Baddy” Pimblett has heard through the grapevine that Logan Paul wants to take him on. Unlike Paul’s brother Jake, however, Logan wants an MMA fight, and picked Paddy as an ideal opponent. “The Baddy”, who is 2-0 in the UFC and boasts a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, told The Schmo that he is confident that he can finish the YouTuber, despite Logan Paul’s noticeable size advantage.
“He knows who the boy is, doesn’t he? He knows who will put bums on seats, lad. I can’t see him mentioning anyone else. I know he’s a lot bigger than me, like.
Paddy the Baddy on Potential Logan Paul Fight: “I’d submit him quite easily”
I don’t think it really matters, to be honest. I think I’d submit him quite easily and quite quickly but you never know, anything can happen in a fight. If Logan Paul ever does want the fight, lad, I’m open to hearing what numbers he’s coming at us with!”
Logan Paul, like his brother Jake, stands over six feet tall, and walks around over two hundred pounds. Paddy Pimblett, at five foot ten, fights at 155 pounds, although he is infamous for his weight gain in between fights, often ballooning up to 200 pounds. Paddy “The Fatty”, as the supersized Scouser calls himself, is far from lean at that size.
Of course, Logan Paul is no stranger to fighting smaller men, with Paul engaging in a largely uneventful boxing match against Floyd Mayweather. Both Logan and Jake have made their combat sports careers by taking on retirees and opponents with a significant size disadvantage, and it seems that Paddy Pimblett will be no exception to this rule.
Logan Paul’s offer to Pimblett was to meet halfway. “I found out who I’d like to fight if I did a UFC match: Paddy the Baddy. They’re saying he’s possibly the next Conor McGregor, right?
He’s super charismatic, he’s entertaining as hell, he’s on the come up, he’s young like me, he’s got a real loudmouth. I just like the way he can perform. I think also, in the off-season, he can come up like 25 pounds.
The kid blows up in the off-season, I’ve never seen anything like it. It’s like someone put a pump in him and [blows him up]. So he can get up to 185 and I can get down to 185 and possibly do a UFC match.”
Do you think Paddy would submit Logan Paul as easily as he says, or does the YouTuber present a bigger problem than The Baddy realizes? Let us know in the comments.
