Impact Wrestling have been hitting a stride recently, following an incredible PPV in the form of Rebellion 2022. We saw the crowning of a brand new Impact Wrestling Heavyweight Champion, as Josh Alexander defeated Moose – a win six month in the making. Other feature matches on the event saw the likes of Jonah & The Good Brothers perhaps make their final PPV appearances for Impact Wrestling.
Jonah, Good Brothers, & Willie Mack All Potentially Finishing Up With Impact Wrestling
It’s been well known since leaving WWE that the plan for Gallows & Anderson was to focus on New Japan Pro Wrestling, with Impact Wrestling being a temporary stop at best. This makes their exit no big surprise, with them having signed deals just ahead of Slammiversary 2020 for two years. Right now, The Good Brothers are set to finish on July 17th, with this being close to Slammiversary 2022. There is always a chance they agree to finish up at this event – before making a focus on NJPW.
However, the exit of Jonah is one that is a bit more surprising. He only made this debut back in 2021, but his deal was only good through Rebellion 2022. At the following tapings, Jonah had a Monster’s Ball match with PCO – expected to be the sendoff from Impact Wrestling. Jonah has been a solid fit for Impact Wrestling, but an agreement on a new contract was not met.
Another name expected to be on their way out is Willie Mack, the current tag team partner of Rich Swann. Mack made his debut for Impact in October of 2018, with him originally getting a major deal. He’s since been moved to a per-night basis, and finished up with Impact Wrestling with a tag team match against BULLET CLUB during the recent TV tapings.
There is no word on if there is interest from WWE or AEW in signing any of these names, but both Jonah & Good Brothers have been frequently seen within NJPW. Jonah is a member of the TMDK faction, while Good Brothers are part of BULLET CLUB.
