Will Belal Muhammad Get His Head Smashed Once Again In The UFC Vegas 51?

Will Belal Muhammad Get His Head Smashed Once Again In The UFC Vegas 51?

On the verge of the rematch, UFC Vegas 51, the UFC fans are waiting for the fight that will happen this weekend, April 17, with anticipation and curiosity about the outcome.

Both Vicente Luque and Belal Muhammad are not as proven fighters. Will they bring a show that will be worth watching? The last fight was not so much of a thrill.

Will Belal Muhammad Get His Head Smashed Once Again In The UFC Vegas 51?

Back in the UFC 205 event, despite Muhammad’s confidence, Vicente Luque took the control of the match almost entirely and knocked him out in a brutal fashion. The referee needed to step in and stop the blows to his head.

Before the UFC 205 match, back in 2016, Belal Muhammad stated that he was watching an ongoing UFC event and he was listing through the possibilities of confronting the fighters. According to him, he consecutively checked all the fighters as sure wins if he fights them. Unfortunately for him, the practice has shown something different.

The official stats of the UFC Vegas 51 fight state that he landed only three significant strikes the whole fight. That is not an impressive number at all.

On the other hand, his opponent and all-time favorite in this grouping, Vicente Luque, in the short one-minute fight had 21 significant strike attempts and landed more than 50% of them. What is more interesting is that these strikes managed to knock out the confident Muhammad.

The situation can be changed significantly after six years. We may be facing a more serious fight. For both fighters, a long period has passed during which I believe they trained and improved their weaknesses.

The exciting detail of this fight is that both fighters come with JiuJitsu fighting backgrounds, so a real clash might happen this time. If the level of readiness is on a satisfactory level we might face a fierce and bloody show.

Vicente Luque has a long list of wins behind him in his personal record. Most of the victories are delivered with a knockout, making him a potential vicious and bloodthirsty competitor in this event.

Muhammad Belal, on the other side, since his loss in 2016 has twelve more fights. Out of which only one loss. So, he should present a more difficult target now. Most of his victories are from the unanimous decision, so in this fight, he might play the durability card, or maybe surprise us all and deliver his first knockout.

An MMA fighter without knockout finishes in his whole career. When you give more thought to this fact this whole concept sounds really dissatisfying and incomplete. If Muhammad wants to bring more attention to himself he must up his game. To be really noticed, Muhammad ‘Remember the name’ must deliver an extraordinary show on Sunday, April 17.
