One of the big issues with the WWE training system is that talent will tend to just learn one style of professional wrestling. This can lead to wrestlers feeling one-dimensional, and stunts their progress at a certain point. One way they’re trying to alleviate this issue is using the other side of NXT – that being NXT UK. Two female talents have made their way overseas, and potentially could expand their horizons in the process.
The NXT UK Performance Center Is Often Looked Over By Fans
While it’s often forgotten by fans, there is a full WWE Performance Centre set up in the UK region. Plans to open facilities in Mexico, India, Japan & Canada might have never come together – but the NXT UK project continues to help and produce stars for WWE. The likes of Pete Dunne, WALTER, Kay Lee Ray, Pretty Deadly and Nathan Frazier all got their starts in WWE in the UK – and many have gone on to become champions and moved to the main roster.
This will hopefully continue for years to come, and WWE having links with ICW in Scotland, WXW in Germany, and Progress Wrestling in the UK allow them to easily keep track of the rising stars of the region. Fans can watch all these promotions on WWE Network/Peacock as well, getting exposure to some fresh faces.
Lash Legend & Ivy Nile Are Two Young Names With A Ton Of Potential
Right now, two of the up and coming female talents on the NXT roster are spending some time in the UK, with both Lash Legend & Ivy Nile making the trip this time around. Legend is someone with great athletic skills and charisma, but is lacking in the in-ring department. Meanwhile, Nile is already impressing fans with her tight technical wrestling skills – while having Malcolm Bivens do the talking for her in Diamond Mine.
Legend has a lot to gain from any potential training, as does Nile despite her impressive showings. It’s likely both will find a spot on the next NXT UK TV tapings, which should show fans some of what they are capable of outside of the Capitol Wrestling Center.
