I’m your host, CP Bialois, and tonight should be an interesting one as Jinder Mahal challenges Ricochet for the Intercontinental Championship and Drew McIntyre gets a rematch with Sami Zayn.
We’re going to grab some snacks and will be back to get WWE Smackdown Live Results rolling at 8 p.m. EST.
Segment 1
RK-Bro came out and accepted the Uso’s challenge after they reminded each other who they were facing. The Usos knocked Riddle off the top rope after feigning leaving to further frustrate them.
Segment 2
Naomi w/Sasha Banks vs. Rhea Ripley w/Liv Morgan
Ripley’s power was the difference early on, as after she was sent to the floor with a step up kick, she caught Naomi with a vicious clothesline as we headed to commercial.
Segment 3
This was a good back and forth match Ripley won with a Riptide after kicking out of a full nelson slam and roll up.
Segment 4
Madcap Moss vs. Humberto w/Angel
This was a quick but good match Moss won with a Punchline.
Segment 5
Flair took exception to Gulak saying she tapped out to Ronda Rousey and chop blocked him and locked in the figure 8 to make him tap out. She continued to mock him until officials came out.
Segment 6
Drew McIntyre vs. Sami Zayn
McIntyre was about to win it with a Claymore but Zayn ducked out for another count out loss.
We suspect a steel cage is coming up for these two.
Segment 7
Intercontinental Championship – Ricochet (c) vs. Jinder Mahal w/Shanky
Mahal dominated early, but Ricochet made a comeback and won with a 450 splash. This match was way too short and the ending didn’t feel believable about all. There should’ve been more to this one.
Segment 8
Lacey Evans shared the next chapter in her story while Natalya and Shayna Baszler mocked her backstage. Raquel Rodriguez introduced herself to them, and Natalya welcomed her and then left the locker room.
Segment 9
Riddle w/Randy Orton vs. Jimmy Uso w/Jey Uso
Riddle started out hot, but Jimmy outmaneuvered him and worked him over on the floor by throwing Riddle into teh ring steps and superkicking him over the barricade as we headed to commercial.
Segment 10
The pace increased as Jey and Orton got involved and Orton suplexed Jey onto the announce desk. In the ring, Riddle avoided a Uso Splash and hit an RKO for the win.
This was a good end to the night. The show felt like it lacked energy after the opening promo exchange between RK-Bro and the Usos and we’re glad they managed to get some of it back at the end.
