When Ronda Rousey made her WWE return at the Royal Rumble, she was able to win the match – and picked Charlotte Flair for her opponent at WrestleMania. She’s no stranger to Flair, having faced her at Survivor Series and in the main event of WrestleMania before. Last time it was a Triple Threat with Becky Lynch in the mix, but tonight it’s just Rousey & Flair with the Smackdown Women’s Championship on the line!
An Aggressive Fight From The Word Go
Rousey would come out fast with some strikes, before dropping Flair to the mat. Flair would look for a quick Figure Four Leg Lock, but Ronda was able to easily block into an armbar attempt. Ronda would get Flair to the apron, where a boot to the face would follow. Flair took a knee to the jaw before nailing a reverse DDT on the apron.
Back in the ring, Flair nailed a heavy lariat for a two count. Rousey was able to fight back, using her judo background for some quick takedowns. She’d take a second to gloat, and was rushed down with a spear. Rousey would avoid the moonsault from the top, before Flair hit a standing moonsault.
Flair would apply a Liontamer in the ropes, but could only hold it for five seconds. Rousey would launch Charlotte down from the top rope, before nailing Pipers Pit. Flair avoided the armbar and nailed a big boot, before Rousey nailed a snap powerslam.

Pipers Pit was countered – but Rousey grabbed an ankle lock. Flair tried to counter into one of her own, before Rousey would counter. Rousey would grapevine the leg, and Flair used her free leg to kick free. Figure Four would be applied by Charlotte Flair, and she’d bridge into Figure Eight.
Rousey would be able to survive and roll out of the ring, making her to the first to ever survive the hold. Flair would hit an exploder suplex into the barricade. Back into the ring, Rousey would hit Pipers Pit, but Flair got her foot on the bottom rope. Referee was nailed with a spear, before Rousey applied the armbar. Flair tapped, but the official did not see. One big boot later, Flair wins.
