’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: Why Big Ed’s Mom Calls Him “Pony” REVEALED
Norma claimed that she would do everything for her beloved “Pony,” as she called him. In season two, she even followed her son to Mexico to meet someone else she could see as a potential love interest. Many viewers loved the way Norma cared for Big Ed. However, they began to wonder how she formed the nickname.
Norma had a Q & A session with fans two years ago and addressed some of their most pressing questions. And most of them were curious to know the genesis of the nickname. She narrated how there were no disposable diapers when Ed was four months old, but clothes with pins. She went on to disclose that Ed was a potty machine, so even if disposable diapers were available, she could not have purchased them.
Norma disclosed that she warned Ed not to touch the pins when she was changing him since they were so large. After that, he kept saying, “pin, pin,” repeatedly. After a few days of “pin, pin,” it was time for “pin, pin, pony.” So, Pony was born, and has remained till today. After all these years, Ed still has not stopped her, so he must be good with it.
