‘General Hospital’ (GH) Spoilers love how the writers and engineered the storyline with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and there’s plenty of chances for as yet unearthed gems.
One of those is that Carly may not be as secure in those she has around her and that could be a good or bad thing for her.
Drew Cane (Cameron Mathison) is the angel on Carly’s shoulder that’s going to help keep her grounded and balanced through the rest of this storyline and into a relationship afterwards.
At least, that’s our speculation.
Drew’s more than Jason Morgan (Steve Burton)’s twin as he also embodies a lot of what Jason did, but not in as straight forward manner.
While Jason would’ve tried to talk Carly out of a mistake and backed up her choice no matter how bad it was, Drew will do that to a point. He’ll go with and try to keep Carly out of trouble, but he’ll also deliver his message.
He sneaks it in offhandedly like when he countered Michael Cornithos (Chad Duell)’s argument about Nina being around her grandson would warp him by pointing out it could very well be hereditary.
Michael didn’t like that since it stole the basis of his argument against Nina.
And that makes him the wild card in the custody hearing.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Pulling Carly from the edge
Drew is the type that values honesty and isn’t all cloak and dagger like Jason. It’s what could lead to Nina winning her case if Carly tells him the results of the DNA test.
If that information leaks in some way, there’s no way Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) won’t use it, and the leak could come from Drew,
It’d be a betrayal to Carly, but the way it looks, ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers thinks she’s going to do exactly what she bashed Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) for doing and repeating her initial mistake with Nina when it came to Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier)’s death.
Carly didn’t want to tell Nina to protect her and that blew up in her face and led to Nixon Falls, where Nina tried to call and tell her about Sonny but Carly attacked her right away about their grandson.
We think Carly will try to “protect” Willow Tate (Katelynn MacMullen) without realizing her hypocrisy, an Drew will be the one to break the cycle.
He’ll feel that Willow and Nina deserve to know, and this could lead to him being ostracized from Carly’s life like Sonny and Jasper Jacks (Ingo Rademacher).
Unlike the other two, we think this may be the time Carly learns from her mistake and Drew will be allowed back in so he can take Jason’s place in Carly’s life.
