Charles Oliviera, unofficially the best lightweight on the planet, claims that he can outpunch Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz at the same event.
His finish at the UFC 274 is impressive and raised much noise, however, this time he might be wanting a too big chunk to swallow at once. Right after he goes home from the event, he opens Twitter and starts blasting to everyone he wants to fight. However, he makes one brag that he is highly unlikely to fulfil.
Charles Oliveira Open To Fight Two Times In One Night
“Just for the record, I like to break records and I want to break another one. Fighting twice in the same night. I can knock Conor out, and make Diaz tap. What do you think @danawhite?” – Do Bronx asks.
At the UFC 274, Oliveira proves that he indeed is one of the best, if not the single best lightweight contender in the promotion. He defeats the second-ranked Justin Gathje in the first round of the bout, in his fashion – by a submission. After the fight, he calls out Conor McGregor to which the Notorious responds quickly and without backing up.
“CharlesDoBronxs @danawhite Shut up you bum and get back to that favela and pay your piece.” – Conor tweets.
It is not the first time that the Notorious is taking into consideration fighting the Brazilian. There have been some callouts and some negotiations, however, we are left unaware of whether the situation led to some agreement. According to the tweets, they might be building up the atmosphere to get us ready for such a fight.
“I’m not sure I wish to cut the weight. I am really enjoying being built like a refrigerator. I feel I want to fight at this size just to watch it back lol. But I’d love to fight the Brazilian, 100%! I love Brazil and I’m unbeaten against Brazil. All KO’s. I’ve some thinking to do.” – Conor says.
We’ve not seen Conor in the octagon for almost a year now. His last fight did not end up well for him. He fought Dustin Poirier and broke his leg resulting in a defeat with a TKO. He is still recovering from it.
In a recent interview, Dana White states that he will not allow the Irishman to fight anybody until his doctors confirm and are positive that he can sustain hard kicks.
When they eventually do, he will be able to choose amongst several opponents. Michael Chandler, Charles Oliveira, Dustin Poirier, and Tony Ferguson are possible choices.
Regarding the two fights per night brag from Charles, it is not to be taken seriously. However, he can provide a great watching experience fighting only one fighter.
Will Charles “Do Bronx” Oliveira win the Notorious’s lottery? Will he manage to take a huge chunk of payment? Dana White is about to make some difficult choices.
