The annual event is held to showcase some of the biggest names from the entertainment industry, who come together to make outlandish fashion statements.
This year’s event included a whole host of stars, including Kim Kardashian, Pete Davidson, as well as none other than billionaire Elon Musk. While that may have been the case, it seems that Ashley has been missing out.
And this is something that she would love to put on end to. In a post to her fans on Twitter, Ashley shared a series of pictures showing her different outfits.
The post was captioned by the following comments: “If I ever get invited to the #MetGala, I would replicate one of my past iconic looks.” In reality, the chances of this happening are very slim for the following reasons.
First of all, it could be argued that Ashley’s claim to fame was appearing in the ‘High School Musical,’ franchise. And given that there has been some time that has passed since it ended, her influence in the entertainment industry is not what it was before.
Secondly, in any event, the chances of securing an invite are extremely difficult. Thus, unless Ashley was very close to one of the attendees, then it would be hard to bring this about.
The fans on social media, though, were not impressed with Ashley’s comments. A significant proportion of people felt that she was no longer a relevant star. Therefore, there was no basis for her to be at the event since the demand for it would be very small.
One person wrote: “Ashley Tisdale as in… the voice of Candace and the Disney girl I haven’t heard from in like 12 years.” It is safe to say that Ashley has a lot to do to convince people that she deserves to be there.
